What About Easter?  And what about “assembling together” ….  Maybe You’ve Been in the practice.   Maybe you’re “out of practice.”   But we would like to call everyone, and we’d like to ask you to “Join us for fellowship and breakfast.” together at Central Wesleyan Church.

THE TIME FOR EASTER BREAKFAST AT CENTRAL WESLEYAN is 9:30 am.  Remember, immediately following is the Easter Celebration Service, in the Sanctuary at 10:30 am.  There’ll be music and a message.

WE think of Central as being “In the Heart of Community, with the community at Heart.”  And we think “Breakfast Together.” can be enjoyed by all, and following the fellowship, we believe the Easter celebration service that follows just after will be esp. visited by God’s presence and anointed music.

Won’t you plan to join us and sing together in this great Easter Gathering.  “He is Risen!”  “He is Risen, Indeed!”   And “Because He Lives, we can face tomorrow.”

This Holy Week is ripe with opporunity, to reflect & to be stirred by the significance of what all the events in Jesus’ life powerfully speak to us. From the pinacale of praise, to the depths of crowds’ crying “Crucify Him.” These sights and sounds, awaken our senses, and we can respond, and sing. Will you join in the anthem Sunday? at Central Wesleyan?
“Hope is confidence in present resources and in the ultimate good.”

James 2:1-8 So, the Word for today speaks of “Spiritually preparing to Share what will encourage and edify others. Always have something to offer that will be like “a cool, drink of water, from a fresh stream.” For some are often gifted as ‘encouragers,’ but everyone should be given to act, encouraging others.
Verse 1 reminds us that we share “as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ.” And it stands to reason, that we should keep “the Royal Law of Love.” verse 8, “Which plays out in ‘Loving your neighbor as yourself,’ and in that “You Are Doing Right.” Let’s let Easter be a day of celebrating with one another, both the ‘blessed’ and the ‘needy’, because (verse 13) :Mercy triumphs over judgment!”
“You’re happiest while you’re making the greatest contribution.” I know this maxim is attributed to Robert Kennedy, but it sure sounds like the spirit and words of Jesus Christ. For His example has done more to encourage and minister to men and women, than any other.

Our Mission Is Simple  -  To give out the Good News:  that Christ suffered and died so we can be forgiven; that He was buried and three days later rose from the dead and was seen by hundreds.  This is an exciting week as we celebrate this Good News.  Join us at Central Wesleyan to participate in the Worship Celebration at 10:30 am.  Breakfast will be in the Fellowship Hall at 9:30 am.    Pastor Miller

Palm Sunday is the Day of Acclaim. As we read the Scripture’s account of Jesus entering triumpantly into the city of Jerusalem, we come face to face with the truth about who Jesus is. Palm Sunday is a day for waving Palm Branches and Shouting Praises to Jesus, the King of Kings. We trust you’ll be with us here at Central to join in the Celebration. He is Lord.

“Take courage, Son, your sins are forgiven!”  Mt. 9:2

This assurance Jesus gives the lame man, must be priceless, esp if that person is plagued by the fear that he’s disappointing God.  Think about it, one man remembers dropping the pass which would have insured the team’s being in the record books for good.  He still has those memories and it still brings tears to his eyes.  Max Lucado says, “Memories of dropped passes fade slowly.”

As his four friends lowered him into the center of the room where Jesus was teaching, Jesus could have said, “Your legs are healed.” But His words were, “Do not fear, your sins are forgiven.”  Those were the words this man needed to hear.

We can all talk about ways we’ve failed, because all have sinned!  Is. 53:6.  But the Word of the Lord is Good News for us.  i.e. Col. 1:13; John 3:18; John 6:40 and I John 5:13.  Yes, God’s perfect love expels all fear. I John 4:18.

“If God loved with an imperfect love, we would have high cause to worry.”  Says Max Lucado.  We can go back to God’s Word which holds rank over self-criticism and self-doubt.  “Nothing fosters courage like a clear grasp of God’s grace.”

This past Sunday, the response to the invitation at Central Wesleyan was amazing, as people made there way to the altar.  It was full!  “Mercy there was great, and grace was free.  Pardon there was multiplied to me.  There my burdened soul found liberty, at Calvary.”

“Do not merely listen to the word. Do what it says. That’s the way to be blessed, by looking intently into the word. By not forgetting it, but doing it, that person will be blessed.” James 1:19-25
