“Come and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me. I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love for me!” Psalm 66: 16-20.

Today I was writing my prayer list, and I began doodling. As the lines and the lines of needs grew, I saw everything taking the form of a tree, or a grape vine. I added leaves, and the phrase crossed my mind. From John 14, Jesus said, “I am the vine, and you are the branches.”
I thought, all those years of Sunday School have payed off. The prayers are “effectual, fervent” and do “avail much.” Thank You, Lord, for an ongoing, and growing, relationship with You!
You know, as I think about it, isn’t it neat?

“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has ben given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matt. 28:18-20

My Friend, Wayne Cordeiro, I should say, I’ve read after his book, “Leading On Empty,”, and he’s e mailed me once, has said, “Our system must be recharged.” He says, “The only way to finish strong will be to first replenish your system. If you don’t, prepare for a crash.”
Here’s God’s Word for Today: “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.” Ps.37:7. “My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him.” Ps. 62:1.

A most beautiful portrait of a Christian mother is given to us in the Bible. Chapter 31 of Proverbs speaks of all these qualities. Read all about them there: Wisdom, Industry, Generosity, Faithfulness, Character, Faith! May God’s abounding grace bless you, mother, and yes, abound toward each and everyone of us, so that the virtues will be authentic and evident in each and everyone of us!
Like Tiny Tim said, “And God, bless us all – everyone!” Amen!

This Wed. night, 4-21, we will wrapping up the “Fearless Series” we’ve been, it, and believe me, it’s been a great challenge, to face some of the unsettling issues that have people facing, and to find God’s Word, the best antidote for fear
Imagine your life without fear!

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” This is the picture of the Christian’s hope! “See to it that you’re not alarmed.” Matt. 24:6
Max Lucado says, “All things big and small, flow out of the purpose of God and serve his good will. When the world appears out of control, it isn’t. When warmongers appear to be in charge, they aren’t. When ecological catastrophes dominate the day, don’t let them dominate you.” (Fearless, 2009)

Easter has this power in it! Jesus said, “I’ve come that you might have life…!” John 10:10. This is certainly the resurrection message. To think, that God has provided in His Son, Jesus Christ, the glorious hope of life! And we celebrate life!
We have been focused on the theme “Fearless.” Christ’s resurrection addresses all our fears. Max Lucado says, “Dare we set our hope and hearts in the hands of a small-town Jewish carpenter? The answer rests in the Jerusalem graveyard. If Jesus’ tomb is empty, then His promise is NOT!”
I serve a risen Savior, He’s in the world today. I know that He is living, whatever men may say. I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer, And just the time I need Him, He’s always near!
Let’s come together at Central Wesleyan, this Sunday, and lift our voices in song. The breakfast is at 9:30, and the Easter Celebration Gathering is at 10:30. He is risen! “Stay Strong – Trust Christ!”

What About Easter? And what about “assembling together” …. Maybe You’ve Been in the practice. Maybe you’re “out of practice.” But we would like to call everyone, and we’d like to ask you to “Join us for fellowship and breakfast.” together at Central Wesleyan Church.
THE TIME FOR EASTER BREAKFAST AT CENTRAL WESLEYAN is 9:30 am. Remember, immediately following is the Easter Celebration Service, in the Sanctuary at 10:30 am. There’ll be music and a message.
WE think of Central as being “In the Heart of Community, with the community at Heart.” And we think “Breakfast Together.” can be enjoyed by all, and following the fellowship, we believe the Easter celebration service that follows just after will be esp. visited by God’s presence and anointed music.
Won’t you plan to join us and sing together in this great Easter Gathering. “He is Risen!” “He is Risen, Indeed!” And “Because He Lives, we can face tomorrow.”

This Holy Week is ripe with opporunity, to reflect & to be stirred by the significance of what all the events in Jesus’ life powerfully speak to us. From the pinacale of praise, to the depths of crowds’ crying “Crucify Him.” These sights and sounds, awaken our senses, and we can respond, and sing. Will you join in the anthem Sunday? at Central Wesleyan?
“Hope is confidence in present resources and in the ultimate good.”

James 2:1-8 So, the Word for today speaks of “Spiritually preparing to Share what will encourage and edify others. Always have something to offer that will be like “a cool, drink of water, from a fresh stream.” For some are often gifted as ‘encouragers,’ but everyone should be given to act, encouraging others.
Verse 1 reminds us that we share “as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ.” And it stands to reason, that we should keep “the Royal Law of Love.” verse 8, “Which plays out in ‘Loving your neighbor as yourself,’ and in that “You Are Doing Right.” Let’s let Easter be a day of celebrating with one another, both the ‘blessed’ and the ‘needy’, because (verse 13) :Mercy triumphs over judgment!”
“You’re happiest while you’re making the greatest contribution.” I know this maxim is attributed to Robert Kennedy, but it sure sounds like the spirit and words of Jesus Christ. For His example has done more to encourage and minister to men and women, than any other.

Our Mission Is Simple - To give out the Good News: that Christ suffered and died so we can be forgiven; that He was buried and three days later rose from the dead and was seen by hundreds. This is an exciting week as we celebrate this Good News. Join us at Central Wesleyan to participate in the Worship Celebration at 10:30 am. Breakfast will be in the Fellowship Hall at 9:30 am. Palm Sunday is the Day of Acclaim. As we read the Scripture’s account of Jesus entering triumpantly into the city of Jerusalem, we come face to face with the truth about who Jesus is. Palm Sunday is a day for waving Palm Branches and Shouting Praises to Jesus, the King of Kings. We trust you’ll be with us here at Central to join in the Celebration. He is Lord.
